The W&S tasting panel evaluated 245 Chilean wines over the past 12 months, and chose the best for this edition.
The magazine had previously ranked Marques de Casa Concha Carmenere 2009, wine that comes from the Peumo Vineyard in the Cachapoal Valley, at 91 points in the June 2011 edition.
Marques de Casa Concha Carmenere 2009: Wine & Spirits 91 points
A wine of enormous power, this is dominated by black fruit flavors and a youthfully blunt texture… The clean lines and firm acidity will help it develop in bottle for at least three years. If you open it now, decant it for a steak.
