Mario Miranda has a degree in Agricultural Engineering with a mention in Enology from the Universidad de Talca. His International experience includes technical visits to California (USA), South Africa, Australia, France, Italy and Spain.
His first crush at Concha y Toro was in 1996. A year later, he became manager of the Lontué winery in the Curicó Valley, which primarily vinifies the white varieties for the Frontera, Sunrise and Casillero del Diablo lines.
Due to his knowledge of and vast experience with white wine he was asked to be one of the winemakers for Concha y Toro’s Super Premium line the Gran Reserva Serie Riberas. Mario is responsible for crafting the Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, varieties he has clearly specialized in and the ones he likes to work with most.
