Terrunyo Carmenere debuts in Premium Tasting

The 2014 Terrunyo Carmenere vintage was presented by winemaker Marcio Ramírez in one of South America´s most significant wine events of the year.

The second Premium Tasting event took place on June 2nd at Santiago’s Grand Hyatt Hotel. Introducing the 2014 Terrunyo Carmenere wine, winemaker Marcio Ramírez participated on behalf of Concha y Toro at one of South America’s most prestigious events in the world of wine.

More than 350 participants and 35 different vineyards took part in this event in which Chile´s most sought-after wines were showcased. The blind tasting was hosted by a panel of experts including Master Sommelier, Héctor Vergara, renowned journalist and wine writter Patricio Tapia; and gastronomic critic, Daniel Greve.

The 2014 Terrunyo Carmenere, originating from Cachapoal Valley´s Peumo vineyard, took the spotlight in Carmenere´s rise in popularity. It was praised by experts as one of the great examples of this grape variety in Chile.
